The Chairs of Economic Geography and of Economics/Public Finance will host a conference that seeks to bring together migration researchers from economics and geography as well as related disciplines. Interdisciplinary contributions are particularly welcome. The aim is to cast light on new developments in empirical and theoretical research related to skilled migration and regional labor shortage. The conference is part of an EU-funded project on migration of international students and highly skilled workers to overcome regional labor shortage. Therefore, the focus is on regional labor markets in developed countries and skilled migration.

The conference intends to give junior and senior researchers an opportunity of presenting and discussing their research. The conference language is English. It is planned to publish a selection of revised papers as an edited conference volume.

Accommodation and meals will be provided; participants are, however, expected to cover their own travel expenses.
